Hi, I have not written here in a while, but I have many things to share, so I hope I am able to keep writing up a bit more.
Since we launched #InstagramELE in February 2014, we have been happily surprised by the welcoming reception it has gotten from so many Spanish educators and their students. The numbers alone are quite impressive: Almost 18,000 pictures, with 45 Spanish teachers and 39 classes participating in the monthly challenge. And it keeps on growing.
And if this was not enough, we won a prize! Here’s how our friend and collaborator, Ricardo Torres, explained in his blog everything about it: Premios Difusión- Prolinter #InstagramELE. Thanks so much, Ricardo, for explaining everything so well! Of course, we could not be any happier that our idea was recognized in such a great way.
But, the main point of this post is to show a presentation I created last May for a workshop at my university, where I was trying to explain to my colleagues what a PLN is and what it can do for you. Without a doubt, the success of #InstagramELE is due in huge part thanks to the amazing PLN both Adelaida (@amartinbosque) and I have on Twitter, and now on Instagram too.
Here’s the presentation in which I explain a bit how this happened.
what is a personal learning network & do I need one? – Created with Haiku Deck, presentation software that inspires
And I just want to say THANKS to everyone who has made our idea such an incredible success. It is the amazing power of this PLN of educators and friends of which I am an extremely lucky member.
¡Muchísimas gracias, PLN!
